What’s great about contents in commercial storage cover is that you can lodge a claim, even if the loss or damage is not caused by an event in the “what we cover’ section in the Product Disclosure Statement.

What's covered

When you have contents cover we’ll cover loss or damage to your contents caused by an insured event while stored in a secure commercial storage facility for a maximum of 365 consecutive days, provided the commercial storage facility is lockable, fully enclosed and only accessible by you or someone authorised by you.

The most we will pay for any one incident for all our levels of cover is explained in the table above. For claims on single items with a replacement value over $3,000, we will ask for proof of purchase, a professional valuation and a photograph.

What's not covered

We do not cover loss or damage from theft when there is no forced entry, contents stored outside Australia or to food or perishables of any kind. We also don’t cover contents located in storage after your contents policy at the insured address ends. To learn more about this coverage and the exclusions you can find them in the Product Disclosure Statement.
