Contents on common property
COVERED
Common property means land or any areas at the insured address that both you and other people are entitled to use. This includes, storage and parking areas, garages shared by multiple units, walkways and stairways.
What policy covers contents on common property
What’s great about contents on common property cover is that you can lodge a claim, even if accidental loss or damage was the result of an event not covered under this policy.
What’s covered
If you insure your contents in a unit that you own under this policy, we’ll cover any of your contents which are permanently fixed on or to common property (e.g. a washing machine that is permanently fixed to common property) of your residential complex. The most we will pay for any one incident is outlined in the table above.
What’s not covered
We do not cover loss or damage for which your body corporate is liable or to any item not owned solely by you. Know that we do not offer this for our Classic cover. You can learn more about this coverage and any other exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement.
