Did you know that drones are defined as unmanned aircraft that can be remotely controlled or can fly autonomously for recreational or photographic purposes? Here is more information about when loss or damage may or may not be covered under Suncorp’s Contents Insurance policies.

What’s covered
Your drone is covered for loss or damage to the device that’s caused by insured events. They are not covered for loss or damage whilst in use. They can also be covered at the home for accidental damage if you have chosen to add the optional 'Accidental damage at home' cover to your policy. What’s not covered
Drones are not covered whilst in use, except for accidental damage at the home under our optional 'Accidental damage at the home' cover. They are also not covered as unspecified item under the 'Personal valuables - unspecified items' option of cover.
We do not cover liability to pay compensation for deaths or bodily injury to other peoples, loss or damage to their property, resulting from an incident which happens anywhere in Australia or New Zealand during the period of insurance.
