What’s covered

Loss or damage caused by a storm surge that happens at the same time as other insured damage caused by a storm.

What’s not covered?

There are some instances where your home and contents are not covered for loss or damage, such as when the damage was caused by sea waves, high tides or king tides.

Loss or damage caused by erosion, vibration, subsidence, landslip, landslide, mudslide, collapse, shrinkage or any other earth movement. Unless there is landslide or subsidence proved to have occurred within 72 hours of and directly because of, a storm surge that happens at the same time as damage to your house because of a storm.

Your home and contents are also not covered for loss or damage arising from structural fault or design fault.

There are items we don't cover, like retaining walls, sea walls, garden borders, sporting surfaces or courts such as a tennis court or cleaning costs of undamaged contents. You can find more information on this and other instances you will not be covered in the Product Disclosure Statement.
