What policy provides cover

What's covered?

If your alternative green energy generation equipment, like solar panels for instance, was lost or damaged by the same insured event as your home and is unable to supply power, we’ll cover:

• any electricity costs you incur that you normally would not incur as a result of your green energy generation equipment being unable to supply power if you are living in the home, or
• your electricity bill during the time that you are living in temporary accommodation.

Know that the most we will pay under this cover for Classic Extras and Classic Advantages is outlined in the table above. Unfortunately, we do not offer this for our Classic cover.

What's not covered?

This cover stops when the alternative green energy generation equipment is repaired or replaced or you are reimbursed for the repair or replacement cost.
