Having to get a lock replaced can be a frustrating experience – and sometimes an expensive one at that. Here is a bit more information on the coverage for lock replacement under Suncorp Home Insurance.
What policy provides cover
What’s covered
We will cover the necessary costs of replacing or recoding locks to the external doors or windows of the home at the insured address if the keys to those locks are stolen anywhere in Australia or New Zealand during the period of insurance.
If you lodge a claim under this additional cover, no excess applies. Know that the most we will pay for any one incident for our levels of cover is outlined in the table above.
What’s not covered
There are some instances where you will not be covered. That is, we do not cover the cost of the replacement of the keys.
