Team Girls is dedicated to fostering and promoting girls’ participation in sport. It’s about girls supporting girls, building up their confidence, and knowing they’re stronger when they stand together – on and off the court.
From learning the meaning of teamwork to learning the skills to lead, many of Australia’s most successful women started their leadership journeys on netball courts around the country.
As part of our commitment to women’s sport, we wanted to inspire girls around the country and show how netball helps you reach your goals – no matter what they are.
At Suncorp, we know that every girl’s endgame is different. And we’re here for all of them.
Suncorp Off-Court All Stars | Endgame
Emily G.: I fell in love with it from the very first game that I played. I can't imagine not playing netball. It's such an important part of my life.
Ally: Netball is everything to me. I’ve moved my entire life to be around netball.
Emily C.: When high school got hard, netball was my outlet every week.
Tahan: I think I was addicted and hooked from the very first game.
Will McCloy: Hello and welcome to the Suncorp Off-Court All Stars. This is something different and just something really fun. Shows the message that you can create your own endgame by playing team sports. Because over 50% of girls by the age 17 stop playing sport, and these women have gone on with it, and now they've done excellently in life. Let's go!
Ally: I've been playing since I was 7 years old. Netball has helped me with resilience and helped me with the challenges I faced as a teacher.
Emily G: I'm a barrister. I've been playing for over 15 years. Netball’s been the game where I've found my people and where I found myself.
Tahan: I'm a content creator. Netball has instilled strategy into my life. It subconsciously influences things that I do in my everyday life.
Emily C: Netball taught me how to be a great manager. How to get the best out of people.
Emily G.: It teaches you things like confidence, fairness, and respect. I certainly take that into the courtroom with me.
Will McCloy: What an incredible end to what an entertaining game but more importantly the end game is what all these women are here to represent.
Ally: Being an elite netballer was never on the cards for me, but the friends that I have made in netball are priceless.
