Tools of Trade
COVERED
We consider tools of trade to include tools or equipment used for any business activity. Know that we do not consider home office equipment to be tools of trade, instead, we categorise them as a part of general contents. Learn more about this coverage below.
What policy covers tools of trade
What’s covered
We’ll cover tools of trade and equipment used for a business activity with fixed limits applied – featured in the above table – under each level of cover. For a claim on an item over $3,000, we will ask for proof of purchase, a professional valuation and a photograph.
What’s not covered
There are some instances where you will not receive coverage, such as if an uninsured event has taken place or the loss or damage occurred away from your insured address. You can learn more about this coverage and other exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement.
